Photographed by Ruth CorneyHeather Gladding (FISTD) and Hadass Armon (FISTD,MA) have been running their own studio in central London since 2000. In 2002 they competed at the Sydney Gay Games and were finalists in the Women’s Ten Dance Championship. In 2005 they were finalists in Women's Standard competition at the Eurogames, Utrecht.

Since retiring from competing they have each obtained an adjudicator's licence with the British Dance Council. They have also been active with the developement and establishment of the United Kingdom Same Sex Dance Council (UKSSDC)

Hadass Armon (FISTD, MA)

Photographed by Ruth Corneyhas taught, choreographed and lectured within the dance profession for more than 20 years. She trained in Israel and went on to receive her teaching qualification in Ballet from the National Ballet School, Canada.

She commenced her professional teaching career at The National Ballet School, Canada; moving to New York University where she obtained an MA in Dance and Dance Education majoring in Choreography. Since, she has conducted extensive research focusing on the ‘holistic dancer’, for which she was granted a Wingate Scholarship. The research was done in collaboration with Central School of Ballet and Surrey University.

Hadass was an Assistant Lecturer in Anatomy and Ideokinesis at NYU and an Associate Lecturer at Surrey University, England. As well as lecturing at conferences, she has been teaching in Israel, Canada, the Islington Arts Factory and Central School of Ballet, London. Her work and choreographies have been performed in Toronto and NYC.

Since 2001 Hadass has been involved professionally with the Same sex Ballroom and Latin dancing scene. She has obtained a Licentiate in both Modern Ballroom and Latin and is now a qualified adjudicator. Hadass draws on her extensive knowledge of Anatomy, movement and her professional background to create a unique, yet exciting, teaching style.

Heather Gladding (FISTD)

Photographed by Ruth Corneyhas worked extensively as a dance professional for twenty nine years as performer, choreographer, lecturer, teacher and coach. She trained and qualified at The Bill & Bobbie Irvine Dance Studio. She opened her first studio in West London in 1984.

Her performances have taken her to venues such as Royal Festival Hall, Duke of York Theatre West End, Waldorf Hotel with Zoots and Spangles, Savoy Hotel with The Really Useful Company, Ballroom Blitz at South Bank Centre, World Professional Ballroom & Latin Dance Show at Grand Theatre in Hong Kong. Whilst a member of Baroque and Roll Dance Group she performed historical dance at Sadlers Wells, Hampton Court, Victoria & Albert Museum, Imperial War Museum, on tour in Japan and also lectured throughout London within the education programme. She was five times winner of The Imperial All Ladies Rumba Competition.

                She has performed on BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Children’s BBC, The Big Breakfast Show, Hong Kong TV and in advertisements and pop videos. She has coached TV and film actors and choreographed for top British Ice Dancers.

                With British Sign Language as her second language, she taught dance in Oak Lodge Secondary School for the Deaf for five years.

                In 1993 she started and developed the women only ballroom and latin dance scene. By entering the first male couple for a dance examination she spearheaded the change of discriminatory regulations within the examination system.
